About me...
I feel tense when I catch myself being too orderly or controlling. Yet, at the same time, I get overwhelmed when there is too much freedom. Through my art practice, I explore the ideal space between order and chaos. I work methodically by setting up a structure and creating a system but eagerly seek happenstance and irregularity.
My ideas come from images and phenomena I encounter in everyday life that capture this “space in-between.” I translate what I believe to be the essence of these spaces into paintings, prints, and 3D objects using minimal shapes, vibrant colors, and rich yet subtle textures using paper and other materials from everyday life.
